The common theory is that you should always go to an opponent's weakness. While this does seem as the most logical tactic, there is a strong case to do the opposite! We all have our favorite shots – but think about what it feels like when your best shot is not working. The best way to get in your opponent's head is to take away their strength, so they feel like they have no options.
This does not mean that you should hit easy balls to someone's stronger side and hope they miss. Try to attack your opponent's strengths by hitting big, making them play on the run, and changing the pace. It is a brave tactic, but it can work if implemented correctly.
